kwerner color challenge 7 part 2

I had to use the rest of the DP that I created with my PTI Anniversary Set. It's so versatile and fun to work with. I repeated the pattern above the soft sky strip of paper. I also used liquid pearls to add an accent to the pattern.
My favorite touch here is the frame of soft sky around the sentiment that was stamped directly on the card base. I had a smudge and needed something extra so used my two SU oval stamps (small and large), first punching the small oval and then the large, giving me the cute frame. Hope you like it!

I used my PaperTrey anniversary set to make this Principal's Day card for my boss. Hope she likes it. I used a gorgeous Martha ribbon that I found in a stash. That's one of the benefits of being disorganized. You're always surprised by the great stuff you find! Check out the awesome cards that people have created in Kristina's post comments here! It's so fun to see what people come up with! TFL!

Rae's Mama's Day Project

This is my friend, Rae Ann's project for her mom for Mother's
Day. I thought it was so beautiful! Her mom will love it. Check out the cool source for the background piece here. Thanks for sharing Rae!

Spring Fever

Hi all. Sunday is winding down and it's been a fun weekend. We had 2 winning soccer games and a boat excursion. We saw tons of dolphins and had dinner at "Chick's", dockside. Today was a trip to the dog park. My poor guys seem to have a phobia of little dogs. I realized I was babying them and decided to try tough love by not picking them up and having them sit when they start to spaz.

Hope you like the quick and simple card. I used pink passion, green galore, and pretty in pink to coordinate with the ribbon. The set is SU's Garden Whimsy which looks good no matter what. It was the first set I bought from the new caddy and I'm still loving it. Have a good week!!!

super quick post - I'm gonna be late for work :}

I used my Papertrey ribbon and my new MFT stamps. I added the little spade after I realized my sentiment wasn't quite straight. I thought it helped balance it a bit. We are s'posed to hit 75 today!!! :) ENjoy your day.

Another Werner Challenge

Here's my version of Kristina's latest challenge. I gotta "get me some" pumpkin pie ink and paper. I used Only Orange. Hope it does the challenge justice.

Thanks a Latte, MFT!

I finally got to stamp today! OH JOY! I had a Dr's appt. and got home from work early. Dinner's not started and I haven't cleared up the stamping mess, but I was excited to get posting! I ordered from MFT. Gina was doing a fund raiser for a friend who lost his wife. Very sad.

Hope you all had a nice weekend. I got to hang out with my siblings again. My DS is going to her second honeymoon this weekend to celebrate her anniversary. They are going to St. Martin and then Barbados (where they got married.) I wish I had time for a Bon Voyage card, but don't. I'll have to work on an anniversary card.

I made this card for a pair of friends who gave me their ears and hearts this weekend when I needed to talk. Thanks girls!! Your friendship is so appreciated. I used Basic Grey figgy pudding paper, Tea time, and my copics. I also finally inked up my SU bacgrounder, "paisley".

I have a desperate question. We've all pretty much become dog trainers since the age of the "Dog Whisperer". Does anyone have tips for stopping hyper dogs jump on humans when they enter the house? They get so excited. I need something better than screaming "no" like a maniac. Your advice would really be appreciated. Take Care,

How cute is that?

My friend Juliya has mad cutting skills and makes the most gorgeous creations with designer paper. (Mostly without even a paper cutter!) Anyway, check out the cute flowerpot party favors with notecards she made for her daughter's sleepover. It also held little spa gifts and Reeses' PB Cups.

My DD was one of the lucky girls who attended. They gossiped, did nails, hair, made some crank calls, and played hide and seek. They are at such a fun age (tweens). Juliya puts on a great party.

Anyway, just wanted you all to see her beautiful work!

I'm gonna love ya....

I'm so crazy about this lizzie anne set! I think I'll send this to my college roomie and soul sistah. Have a great Sunday!

Happy Birthday Chicky!

I used my new Hey Chicky stamps from CCDesigns. They are so adorable, don't you think? Please ignore the weird spot. I'm not sure where it came from. Anyway, I went back to good old PaperTrey paper and ink. I liked the way the sentiment on the front turned out. I also got a chance to use my copics - hence the shadow on the cute chick. I hope you guys like this one. I was happy with it for a change. I used a pencil eraser to make the big polka dots. I also used a sheer white ribbon to add interest. I adhered it behind the DP. I stamped the sentiment in PaperTrey blush and berry sorbet. Their color combos make life easy!

Sorry for the time between posts if you've checked PaperFix out before. This week at work was insane! Today we had 2 soccer games and 2 birthday parties. The puppies were cooped up today, so I'll be getting them out tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by!
