Paper Pieced Cupcake

This is for a little friend of my DD's who's turning eight. The cupcake and candle stamp are from Kitchen Sink Stamps as is the sentiment. The paper is retired SU DSP, and I used the numbers Cuttlebug Folder. I had to keep it simple since the child will be rushing to get to the present! I popped up the icing and flame, although I think it's hard to tell.
I paper pieced the cupcake after being inspired by this challenge.
Hope she likes it. Have a good Monday.

kwerner color challenge2

Well, you can see I am precision cutting challenged. I'm still in denial about needing my reading glasses regularly. Anyway, what a wild color challenge! I only had a scrap of "only orange" and a scrap of the purple. I like the combination a lot!

PaperTrey Bella

I paper pieced this Bella with my new PTI pink papers. I love the pants!

My DSIL recently lost 30 lbs! Then she proceeds to cook us an awesome Easter dinner despite the fact that she was not partaking. This is her congrats/thank you card. I have wonderful in-laws on both sides!

Rae Ann's Beautiful Easter Banner - Happy Easter all!

Isn't this so very cool? My demo, Rae Ann made this garland for Easter. She's so talented and I'm so lucky she's our leader!
Please leave a comment and let her know how adorable this is. I'm so happy she's sharing!
Happy Easter to you all! Enjoy your families.
(You have to click on the banner to see the whole thing. Not sure why....)

Hey Chick! It's a kwerner color challenge

I got my order from Kitchen Sink Stamps today! I think the set is "hey chick". I thought I'd ink it up and complete a color challenge from kristina's blog. The colors are Groovy Guava, Wild Wasabi, Blush Blossom and So Saffron. I had to substitute barely banana for so saffron. The picture at left is the inspiration room. the colors look very different, but it was a fun card to make. I think I've changed some settings on my camera!

Check out this awesome blog giveaway!

Check out this very cool blog: Old Red Barn Co. She is giving away a beautiful handmade quilt. Her blog is lots of fun and the music is great! She also has some great hand made products.

Catty Easter Can

Imaginative title, huh? We made these courtesy of my demo at our last swap. It's directly from the catty. It's just so cute I had to show it anyway. It's all SU. The pretty strip is made by stamping the cute flower stamp in the set and coloring with ink pad and aqua painter.
TIP from my demo: Dip the aquapainter in water rather than filling it. It allows you to control the ink better.

DH Birthday Card

I had a bit of trouble with SU's All In the Family and finally settled on this version that I made. (I even used a Stamp-A-Ma-Jig! You all make it look so easy! Anyway, DH is having a birthday soon, so I wanted to make him a fun card. The background was made with Kitchen Sink's Happy Birthday Cupcake. It's a very cute set!

My new SU grid paper helped me keep the words straight.

Another challenge with this card was using my Copics for the first time. Sheesh! I never knew coloring could be so hard! Well, we're off to see Horton Hears A Who. Happy Sunday all!

A tisket a taskety

Here's a basket that I made from a single sheet of Bazzill 12X12. It had a nice texture to it. I found the idea and tutorial here . You have to check out the link. It is much more beautiful than the one I made. It was super fun making it though!

Altered Note Cards - Angie don't look yet

I found the cutest note cards in the Michael's dollar bin and decided to personalize them for friends and family. I saw them in someone's blog. (?) I need to try to keep a list of ideas to CASE so I can give credit where credit is due. If it's u, or a friend, let me know and I'll edit this post. I used Papertrey's monogram set as well as corners and borders. I used my Marvy scallop punch and SU papers (real red, basic black, whisper white).

I've had a terrible time sitting down and stamping and then actually taking pictures and uploading. I'm a bad blogger (but my house is cleaner!) I kept the cards very simple. I thought they were so pretty! I've made 3 sets in very little time.
I finally got a huge order which makes life easier because I
got the stamp pad holder from SU.
Glory Hallelujah! Life is so much easier when I'm
not looking through 4 shoe boxes for the right color! I think I may get
another.
It's an awesome investment.

Anyway.... These cards will be sent to my DS, hence the "a". Hope you enjoy.
